Our house, their terms

Community rules.

These govern our channels: the group chat, and anywhere else we host conversation. Steppa’s own terms govern the challenges themselves. If the two conflict, Steppa’s terms win and we will say so.

No side bets. This one is not negotiable.

Do not wager on another participant’s result, run a side pot, sell “action” on someone finishing, or arrange for money to change hands based on how anyone else does. Steppa’s terms prohibit placing value on the outcome of a challenge you aren’t a participant in, and prohibit arranging for value to move based on another participant’s performance or failure. Breaking this can get accounts frozen and balances forfeited, yours and possibly other people’s.

Someone always suggests it. The answer is always no. Prizes I fund and award for achievement are a different category: a sponsor-style prize, not a stake. Those stay on our side of the line.

No coordinating failure

Agreeing to drop out to concentrate a payout is collusion under Steppa’s terms and grounds for termination. Don’t propose it, and don’t join it.

Other people’s data stays private

Don’t screenshot and repost another participant’s handle, avatar or individual result outside the app. Steppa’s code of conduct forbids it, and it’s a lousy thing to do regardless. We publish aggregate numbers from our own challenges, not a named roster.

We don’t relitigate rulings

If Steppa makes a determination about your result, that decision is final under their terms and we can’t change it. What we can do is help you use their process properly: report problems to support@playsteppa.com before the challenge ends if possible, and dispute a result within seven days of the end date. Ask us and we’ll help you assemble the evidence.

These are Steppa’s rules as of the terms dated 5 August 2026. If the app or their terms disagree later, they win. We do not publish a list of states where paid challenges are void. Goodwill policy

When a participant loses a stake to a verified technical failure, and Steppa declines to refund after we’ve helped them ask properly, we refund our host fee for that entry and give them a free entry to the next edition. Limit one per person per season. Total goodwill spend is capped at 20% of our host fee for that edition.

We don’t cover missed days, illness, travel, forgetting, or changing your mind. Those are the challenge, not a fault.

No financial advice

Don’t tell other members how much to stake, and don’t treat anything here as advice about your money. Some people in this community will be tighter for cash than they let on.

Be decent about failure

Roughly a third of us lose a stake in any given week. Nobody gets mocked for missing a day, and nobody gets pressured into staking more than they want to. Encouragement in the danger zone is the entire point of the group.

Consequences

First issue, we’ll talk to you. Repeat or serious issues (side betting, collusion, harassment, doxxing) and you’re removed from our channels. We’ll report conduct that violates Steppa’s terms if it affects other participants.

I host this challenge and am paid a 5% creator fee, charged by Steppa on top of each entry. I earn that fee whether or not you finish. Disclosure · How to join · Receipts
