The Saturday question

Can you join two Steppa challenges?

Yes if you have Steppa Pro. Pro lets you join up to five challenges as a participant at once, and the same Apple Health steps count toward all of them. Free accounts still get one active challenge. They can queue the next one in the final days of the current card. How many days that is lives in the app.

I host this challenge and am paid a 5% creator fee ($3.50) on top of the $70 stake, charged by Steppa, whether or not you finish. Disclosure.

The one-active rule (free accounts)

Free accounts hold one active challenge at a time. The app is the source. If it is not offering you a second join, you cannot hold both.

Do not delete your account mid-challenge to free a slot. Deleting during a challenge forfeits the stake, which stays in the pool. Wait for the queue window, wait until your current card ends, or use a Pro slot if you have one.

Queue is not a second walk

Queuing is how a free account enters next week without overlapping two live walks. Pro walkers under the five-participant cap can be in two live cards at once, and the same Apple Health steps count on both. If the card shows you in, you are in, and the fee screen is the receipt. If it does not, you are not in. We will not describe an error toast we have not screenshotted.

Why Saturday–Sunday

The Weekly Split is $70, 9,000 steps a day, seven days, Monday start. Join closes Sunday night so the room is set before walking starts.

If you are already in a house card or someone else’s community card: a free account can only add ours in that card’s queue window. Pro walkers can hold both if they are under the five-participant cap. The app is the source if a join is blocked. Monday is late for this edition. Same shape next week.

Host choreography (seed the card Saturday, then post) lives on how to host a Steppa challenge. This page is the joiner rule.

Steppa Pro is five participant slots

Steppa Pro lets you be in up to five live challenges as a walker. Steps from Apple Health apply to every active card you are in. Free accounts stay capped at one active challenge. Do not tell people Pro is host-only.

If you want this week’s Split

Questions

Can I join two Steppa challenges at once?

Free: no. Pro: yes, up to five, and steps count on all of them.

Can I queue next week while this one is still running?

Free accounts: yes, in the final days of the challenge you are already in. The app shows that window. This page will not invent a day-count. Pro walkers under the five-participant cap can join a second live card without waiting for that window.

Why is The Weekly Split join window Saturday and Sunday?

Walking starts Monday. Saturday and Sunday are when queued joiners and new joiners can enter before start. Monday is late for this edition.

I am already in another card. Can I still join The Weekly Split?

Free accounts can only add ours in that card’s queue window. Pro walkers can hold both if they are under the five-participant cap. The app is the source if a join is blocked. Do not uninstall mid-challenge to free a slot: deleting your account during a challenge forfeits the stake.

Isn't Steppa Pro five concurrent challenges?

Yes, as a participant. Same steps apply to every active card.

Does queuing count as joined?

Trust the app. If the card shows you in, you are in, and the fee screen is the receipt.
